Over Memorial Weekend we went and stayed with friends on Galveston Island.  We had a wonderful time on the beach building sand castles, kayaking, watching the dolphins swim and enjoying a perfect sunny day.  The house we stayed at was incredible.  The picture below is the view from our bedroom window.  What a great way to start your day looking out on the water.  Thanks Ryan and Joy for a great getaway!

Ava has officially finished her 3 year old preschool class.  Their final school performance was last Friday.  She did a great job and actually sang the songs this time.  The class had a party afterwards where individual awards were handed out to each student.  Ava was awarded the Being a True Friend Award.  Her teacher noted that Ava never likes to see any of her classmates playing alone.  She always wants to make sure everyone has a friend.  Great job Ava!
